Costume Balance and Fundraiser

Costume balance was due March 1. If you have a balance after fundraising, it was also due Mar. 1. The money for the Candy bars and Subway monies were due Mar. 7 or two weeks after you received them. There will be an $8.00 late charge on costume balances not paid for by March 14. Please check with me if you are uncertain of your balance. All monies from fundraiser goes to costumes first and any monies left after application to costumes will automatically be put on class tuition and practice CD. It can also be used for tights, performance DVD. Cannot be used for photos or performance tickets.

When making payments use envelopes provided in payment booklet. If you do not have one, there are extras sitting in waiting room. Also if at all possible please make out separate checks for tuition, costumes and fundraising.

Practice CD’s

I am starting to make the practice CD‘s. The cost of each CD is $5.00. Each student will pay for one CD regardless of the amount of dances she has. All her dances will be on one CD. Each child in the family will have their own CD unless they are in the same class. The cost of the CD is due Apr. 1. Please use envelope in payment book.

Tights Orders

Order forms for dancewear will be distributed in a couple of weeks. They should be returned pre-paid, checks written to Anita Lorek, in an envelope by April 8. You can use credit from fundraiser.

Poster Contest

The theme for the poster contest is “Sight, sound and Motion”. It should be submitted on an 8×11 piece of poster paper with name and age of student artist on the back. It can be done in crayon, pencil, etc.                                                                                                                                                The winner’s poster will be going onto the cover of the recital program. Keep in mind when designing poster that it has to look good after being reduced. Many times I have to eliminate a poster because it does not reduce well when it is actually very good. The overall winner receives one 7-week session free.   Deadline is May 1.

Congratulations to following students for performances in a play or musical – Kadiya Lingenfelter for “Annie Get Your Gun” at Conemaugh Twp , Sara Zatek for Grimm Tales at Forest Hills and Tia and Taylor Yannatelli for “Annie” at Cambria Heights. Great Job to all! In the future – Ella Wise in Cresson Lake Playhouse’s production of “Mulan”

Box Tops

We will be helping the PTO of Forest Hills by collecting Box Tops. There is a container in the waiting room for anyone who would like to contribute.

There is a black pair of girls boots with fringe that have been in the dressing room for weeks. If no one claims them they will be going to Goodwill. There are also other articles of clothing that have been left. Jazz pants, shorts, shirts and sweatshirts. Please check dressing room for articles
